Where do with start with Simon Forrest. If there was ever a fighter to be inspired by, Simon is definitely up there. Not just for his recent run of form and success but his entire Muay Thai journey.
From the age of 15, right up until in his mid twenties… Simon was heavily into drugs and the party scene, in and out of scrapes with the police and moving on from one calamity to the next.
Then at the age of 25 and after having his first son he starting training at a Muay Thai gym to get fit and to turn his life around.
He instantly fell in love and became addicted in something much better! By the age of 26, had his first professional fight and 10 years later has a record of 31 fights – 17 wins and 14 losses. Now married with two children, Simon runs his own successful roofing company Kingscal and trains fighters at www.roughdiamondsmma.com in Huntingdon.
Simon’s passion for Muay Thai has taken him to Thailand to fight in the Lumpinee, Phuket and Chiang Mai Stadiums. With some big wins, over some big names over the last few years.
Forrest has been ranked in the Top 5 over the last 4 years in 3 separate weight categories. Including last year just missing out on the MTGP European Belt, after border control issues in France. Although in 2022 hopefully his next fight will be for the UK Number 1 spot!!
